Have you heard about Mines View Park?
Mines View Park is one of the most famous and most visited among the tourist destinations in Baguio City.
The park got its name from the Benguet mountain range where gold, silver and copper were once quarried. It was a mining site for local folks before the Americans discovered Baguio.
Mines View Park is basically a viewing deck looking out to the Cordilleras.
The park’s main attraction is an observation deck that offers an imposing view of Cordillera mountain range including the copper mining sites of Benguet Corporation in Itogon, as well as Amburayan Valley and the mountains between Benguet and Nueva Vizcaya such sa the famed Ugo, Mount Yabnong, Mount Pulag and even Mount Purgatory.
It is located at the northeast part of Baguio City.
This place is quite close to Wright Park and The Mansion.
That is the reason why usually tourists can finish visiting these spots in a day.
The location is only 4 kilometers from the downtown and can be access via quick taxi ride or by Jeepney.
The Jeepney terminal is easily found at the street next to McDonald’s at the lower Session road.
Mines View Park is always part of tourist’s itinerary because of the fascinating scenery and it is the best spot in Baguio to see the majestic view of the sunrise.
